Interview: Glee Music Supervisor PJ Bloom

Since Glee scored a (insert sports metaphor here) recently with a pair of Grammy nominations and its massive download hit of a Christmas record, and since it continues to shape the euphonic tastes of a generation, I thought it would be a good idea to talk to the man behind the music, the show’s Music Supervisor, PJ Bloom. He was insightful on every topic, including Journey, Christian Rock, and the dreaded Mash-Up. Check it out over at Vanity Fair.

Stop Believin’, or Don’t?

Glee was nominated for a Grammy today, forcing me to ask (and sort of attempt to answer) the all-important question: Why is Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” Indelible and Endemic to the Glee Mythology?

The Gay Guide to Glee: “Special Education”

This week, Glee gleefully reveled in telling the truth, to positive effect for all involved (including the viewers.) Also, the top-notch second string earned some time on the field. And there was cheese. Lots of delicious cheese.
