    Okay, I have made my first (and last) foray to your Yahoo! column. Not because I disagree with your point, but because I can’t deal w/ the commenters. It bugs me when people don’t bother researching anything before they comment - the person who said that obviously you have no experience with kids cracks me up.

    Daycare for 2 years, nanny for one, mom for one, older sister for, ummmm, decades and I have never once pinched a kid I was responsible for. Jeez. And I never lost control of them, either.

    (In the interest of full disclosure, when I was under 10 I may have pinched my sister - but never when I was babysitting her, just when we were in sibling-mode.)
