Sad to learn of the death of John Baldessari. I had the privilege of interviewing him a couple years back for Architectural Digest. In addition to being a fascinating artist, he was a consummate car guy.
“As a culture, we’re not fascinated by slowness,” he told me. “We’re fascinated by speed.”
