21390091thm.jpgBrett Berk’s stories have appeared in FICTION, Tin House, The Mississippi Review, Other Voices, and Small Spiral Notebook, among numerous other journals. He’s been awarded residencies at The MacDowell Colony and the Breadloaf Writer’s conference, and received the Chicago Literary Award for Fiction. In addition, his first collection of stories “Model House” was shortlisted for the Flannery O’Connor Award. Since 2000, he has been on the faculty of the Writing Program at The New School, teaching fiction writing. He’s just completed his first novel, “Safety Seat”, and is working on a new collection of stories.
